What do you do when you have no where to go?

I've been in a abusive relationship for over 9 years. I don't know anyone in town and I have a 10 year old daughter. I recently finished a vocational school (my daughters father tried to make me quit). Right now I'm trying to look for a job. Where do I start? I've always been a stay at home mother with limited skills. Any advice would be great.
