How does Quadratic Optimization work?

I need to maximize the area of a fenced playground. It is supposed to be rectangular, i only have 300 feet of fence, and one side is going to be built adjacent to a building, so only three sides require fencing. I need to find the largest possible area and state the dimensions that give the area.
