What possible prohibitions are there while having chemotherapy?

i am scheduled for chemotherapy after a colon surgery taking away an adenocarcinomatic sigmoid m...through research i've learned usual side effects of chemo as mouth sores, therapy induced diarrhea, vertigo, vomitting among others....though my doctor will be giving me pieces of advice, i want to know from those who experienced the therapy themselves what i may or not do or eat during the process...thanks..
